Guild Website Banner

Okay, all you fans of graphics design ... I have a project for you (that is in no way authorized by the High Council, so keep it quiet) ...

Take a look at the banner at the top of our website. It's 3+ years old. Can you come up with something else? New graphics? Font? Border? Cataclysm reference?

Here's your rules:
1) It must maintain the dignity of STC's history and pride
2) It must be on or about the same dimensions

Post your link here for all to see, or send me a PM if you plan on doing multiple versions or iterations and want clarification / direction.

Nice. Though I like it, the theme itself doesn't quite fit with our traditional Blue & Gold.

Although wow is the only current sanctioned game atm, STC is not a game specific guild, the header doesn't need to be wow themed

I have no artistic talent. My "Penny being smacked by a fish" button is about as good as it gets here. So for those of you working on this, you might want to consider incorporating this symbol.

What ever happened to that button anyway. We got to see it for like 1 day and it was gone. We should bring it back to use somewhere. It was great.

These are still works in progress (the crest needs work etc), so feel free to give suggestions, comments, or whatever, but I wanted to throw them up in the mean time...





Yes, these are identical with the exception of the background.

I like the lower banner better.. less busy background. Maybe a combination of the two would look better... plain blue background with the symbol inside the crest?

That might make the text hard to read.. hmmm...

Seeing the two in comparison like that, I also like the 2nd one better. Other things I would try to see how they look:
1. guild name in gold
2. Background lion the same shade of blue as in crest.
