Saints,

During our effort of reorganizing and cleaning the forums, the High Council (HC) has decided that there is a need for our members to control the size of their signatures. A signature is meant to be a graphic representation of you and your personality. Unfortunately, it has become very easy to add in autogenerated character signatures and large artwork/screen shots, leading to a point where the signature becomes disruptive to the flow of communications the forums are meant to provide. At the same time, these sigs increase bandwith usages for both the STC site and for our users.

While we do not want in any way want to inhibit the artistic nature of our members, we need to be sensitive to the size of the signatures we use. To solve this issue, the HC has decided that the size for sigs all of an artistic nature shall be 250H x 1050W. For those that prefer to use autogenerated sigs from sites like Magelo, there is a limit of 4 toons if you use the smallest signature, 3 for the medium signature, and 2 for the standard sized signatures, but these can be from any current or formerly sanctioned games where the toon retains the STC guild tag. For Text based sigs, the length shall be no more than suggestion of 6-8 lines. This should allow people to generate and use the signatures of their choice while preventing the signatures from becoming an inconvenience to others.

If you need to scroll to see a portion of your signature, then it is larger than the size allocation stated above and will need to be fixed. As we do not control the size of signatures individually, only globably through the guild launch controls, we ask that you please rectify the size issue in a timely manner.

Like everything else in STC, please ensure that the Sig and avatar you choose are tasteful and family friendly. While this has not been a problem in the past, we want to ensure that there are no misunderstandings in the future.
