Over the last several months the High Council has been hard at work laying the foundation for building a chapter in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Over the course of this we have gotten an idea for who will be playing TOR, took a poll as to what faction we should play as well as work on who shall spearhead the chapter as the Lord Preceptor.

Today it is my pleasure to announce that the High Council, after much deliberation, has chosen Lord Dakari to serve as TOR's Lord Preceptor. Lord Dakari has long served STC in the past as Lord Preceptor, Grand Preceptor and a whole host of other officer positions. Given his extensive experience with STC coupled with his enthusiasm and drive to succeed in TOR the High Council felt he was the best candidate for the job. Congratulations Lord Dakari! We can't wait to see what you accomplish in TOR!

The High Council has also decided on which faction to play in TOR. There was a long conversation and deliberation on how our laws and codes could and would apply to us playing an 'evil' faction. There were many impassioned arguments for and against going that way. The decision was not an easy one, but in the end we will be going Sith.

For those that do not wish to play as Sith, but pride themselves in wearing the STC tag we will have a Republic option; however there are some details that still need to be worked out. So don't fret! There's more about this on the way!

From this point forward the LP of TOR, Dakari, will be the point of contact and the main voice for anything related to the setup and configuration of STC-TOR. The HC has done what they can to lay the groundwork for him, and now it will be Dakari and his officer team who builds the chapter from there.
