I was trying to mail a member who had a special letter in his name and found the following. Maybe it will help you guys too.

To use this, you press the ALT key on the keyboard (maintain) it and then punch in the numbers. When you release the ALT button, your special letter will appear.

To do the ø, the code is ALT 0248.
