Part of what makes STC what it is, is the sacrifices made by others in multiple facets. Such facets include, time, crafting materials, passing on loot that is a bigger upgrade for others than themselves, teaching, helping run guild events.

Pet Battle Tournament
Zucanthor has been running a Pet Battle Tournament for the past several weeks and progress is being posted in several threads on the forums - be sure to check it out.

Messy and the Ironman Challenge:
Messychick is attempting the WoW Ironman Challenge. One of the key features of that challenge is the character must remain unguilded. Messy plays a great deal these days so she will definitely be missed when not online. It has been suggested that we start a chat channel named Ironmess for Saints to join to cheer her on. Any Saints that want to cheer her on can join the global chat channel 'Ironmess'.

Explanation of the Ironman Challenge:

http://wowironman.com/

Level from 1-85 using the rules below.

Only White or Grey gear. No Heirlooms of any kind.
No transfer of gear, items, or money from any other character (yours or others).
No gear enhancements, including gems, enchanting, and reforging. Class abilities are allowed (eg. Rogue poisons, Shaman imbues).
No specialization, talent points, or glyphs. No pet talent points.
No professions or secondary skills, except for First Aid.
No potions, flasks, or elixirs except for required quest items.
No food buffs or other external buffs (including buffs from items and other players).
No groups or assistance from other characters, even if not grouped.
No dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, or arenas.
No guilds, except for level 1 guilds created specifically for the Ironman Challenge.
No Refer-A-Friend.
No addons which assist in combat and/or leveling (eg. leveling guides, Ovale).
THE BIG ONE: No deaths. Character death for any reason disqualifies the character

The following are allowed:

All class abilities, racials, and personal buffs.
All mounts, bags, and non-combat pets.
All quests, including holiday events and dailies (unless prohibited by some other rule, eg. Fishing and Cooking dailies).

So basically, you are trying to see how far you can get without dying. She is on the boards if you look on the final page, her character is named Fashironista.

Guild Chat Etiquette
Reminder: Guild chat (in-game and in Vent) is a PG channel, we are a family (and family oriented) Guild and we do have members that are minors.

Evaluate what you're about to say in your head and see whether or not it's something you would say to a child. If the answer is no, then don't say it in Guild chat.

Help us keep our chat safe for everyone to read and participate.

Raiding Update
As you have probably noticed, we stopped raiding. This was due to inconsistent attendance for the raids. This caused some frustration on the part of raiders and BC's alike. It does happen in the summer so it is understandable, but we would like to get back into the swing of raids again. Stone has already posted Flex Raid invites on the calendar. Please sign up early and if there is an issue with the days and times, please note that to the Officers.

Flex Raids
As of the implementation of 5.4 STC organized raids will be flex raids. We MAY at some point, try and organize a 10 person raid team, but in order to try and be inclusive, we will be using flex raids. How that dynamic will work is still in the works and will probably not be finalized until after we've had some experience with it. Needless to say, we can not bring 10 healers, 5 tanks, and 1 dps and expect to beat the enrage timers, nor can we bring 3 heals, 20 DPS and 2 tanks and expect to remain alive. We will need to try and balance our classes, but at the moment it looks like 2 tanks, somewhere between 2.3-3.1 DPS-tanks/healer to make the balance right. That means 12 total can be achieved with 3 healers, but more than 12 should include 4 healers. Again, it's all preliminary, but that's the formula we will be going with until we know more.

For flex raiding, you will need to have run though the LFR version of the raid or do research on the fights at a minimum. As raiding is not by-right, we really need people to put in the effort, just like gemming and enchanting your gear. It helps to make the raids more successful and the job of the raid leader easier if you come with knowledge of the fight. This does not mean you should not ask questions, but the more info you have beforehand, the more successful the raid is going to be. We may require a higher gear score than the minimum, but that is to be determined.

If there are any questions or concerns, please contact me or one of the Officers.
