Wow Chapter Meeting Minutes April 6, 2011

I. Opening Remarks- Lord Tsukiueno-Called the meeting to order and made the following announcements:
a. Promotions and Inductions: Lord Berenaltorin has completed his novice requirements and has been raised to full Saint
b. The WoW Chapter has 7 other novices at various levels of novice requirements completion and they should be ready for induction at next month’s meeting.

II. Lord Tyrraell-talked about the current Profession Event and the participation so far has been a bit slow. He wanted to remind everyone that the deadline for getting items made and sent to him was the 10th and please try to make a piece to submit if you can.

III. Lord Lagerales-talked about the Guild Bank use and that since the Profession Event is in the closing stages if you can make a piece and we have the mats in the guild bank, take them and use them. Any extras you have from the Profession Event you can’t use, put back in the guild bank and any extra items you made for the profession event you can sell on the AH and donate the proceeds back to the guild bank.

IV. Lord Chantalina-announced the introduction of the Guild Newsletter. The Newsletter will be published on a projected bi-weekly format with issues containing sections for the following: A message from our Grand Preceptor; a message from our Lord Preceptor; a message from our Senior Battle Chancellor or one of his Battle Chancellors specific to raiding; a section dedicated to highlighting one of the guild members called ‘The Spotlight’; a section for members to submit up to 3 stories per issue of something either game related or WoW storyline related, either fact or fiction, that they would like to submit towards prizes; a section for meeting minutes highlights and events, current and future; a section for special dates such as birthdays and anniversaries; a section for awards and promotions; and a section for both class play discussions and profession discussion. We will also have areas for screenshots and avatars. There will also be a contest to name the newsletter which will be posted in the forum section of the website shortly so keep an eye out for it. The projected date for the first issue will be sometime early May 2011. The members of the newsletter team are Lord Chantalina, Lady Peneloperose, Lady Shiftiness, Lord Lagerales, Lady Delphinae, Lord Winterwolf, Lady Ibiteback, Lady Messychick, and Lady Lightmyfire.

V. Lord Thalston-had some raiding news for us which included that STC has downed 5 main raid bosses and has 5 to go. The immediate goal for the progression raids will be 1 new boss, with a stretch goal of 2 new bosses and the ultimate stretch goal of one final boss. There are 2 bosses in Blackwing Descent and 1 boss in Bastion of Twilight left. There will be a new schedule for raiding with Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday set for casual raid nights where the emphasis will be on gaining experience and having fun for those not able to raid progression raids or who just want to go. If you feel you are close to raid spec and ready to start raiding, speak to a BC to get set up for invites. Sunday and Monday nights will be progression raid nights. Minimum specs will be adhered to and you must be preapproved by the BC team for participation. If you desire to be part of progression raids see Lord Gerhart for a pre-raid discussion. You will need to be prepared and geared, know your role, be disciplined and have the temperament to deal with many wipes and willingness to try different strategies.

VI. Lady Peneloperose-thanked everyone who participated in the pet show and announced the winners. The winners were as follows: Lady Messychick for Grand Prize, Lady Ibiteback for second, and Lord Lachdanon for third. Congratulations to the winners. A special thanks to Lady Shynei for organizing the event.

VII. Lord Qordin-announced this month’s guild awards with the award for Sacrifice going to Lord Tiranno for contributions to the guild bank over and above the norm.

VIII. Lord Qordin-talked about the extremely successful raid drops that produced a number of BOE items for our members. 2 upgrades were distributed to Lord Thalston. Lady Ibiteback received the ‘Unheeded Warning’ trinket for her rogue, and Lord Berenaltorin received ‘Bracers of the Dark Pool’.

IX. Lord Qordin-mentioned that he wanted to emphasize that everyone who signs up for a raid, makes sure they are confirmed 24 hours prior to the scheduled raid. The BC team and raid leaders would like to try to cut down on the sorting out of groups as people show up and do it using the confirmed list. Those who are on standby and there is a spot will be asked to fill spots first and then those who show off the tentative list will be next. One thing that was emphasized was if you sign up for a raid and repeatedly don’t show or if you sign up and don’t notify someone that you can’t make it, you may be left off the confirm list in the future.

X. Lord Qordin-talked about the fact that if a member has a suggestion for improvement of any area of STC, please make the effort to get those suggestions to the right people. For raiding contact Lord Gerhart as a first contact but any BC if he is not available to you; for events contact Lady Shynei or Lord Tyrraell; and for other areas contact Lady Peneloperose as a first contact or any other senior officer if she is not available.

XI. Lord Qordin-talked about there had been some inappropriate language in ventrillo and wanted everyone to monitor their language use more in the channels to remain compliant with STC’s language guidelines for ventrillo and guildchat.

XII. Meeting Close and March through Stormwind.
