re: Creating a Signature...

I spent a few minutes today playing around with Signatures and I figured I would share what I learned.

For starters, almost all the Signatures you Generate using a website will give you the BBCode and HTML Code for your signature.

If you want to post in a thread like this will use the BBCode, if you want to use Signature Block on GuildLaunch though you will use HTML. Just note that you should try it a few times and see what works best for you.

I started out doing a google search for "WoW Signature" and found a few good hits, so if none of these signatures appeal to you feel free to go there for more info.

WoW.com did an article on Signatures, but it is old and some of theirs are missing:

I like Siglaunch because ti was easy to set up a signature with a unique font and it looks pretty cool, but it was a little limited on backgrounds.

Is a cool place, their signatures are relatively large, but they integrate achievement points into the signature and shows the latest Achievement; which is not too common but fun for those who go for that in their play style.

Has a neat way of allowing this signature to have depth on the page, for instance notice the circular area does not interrupt the background image. These signatures have the most versatile shapes.

This site has the most background options, giving you a choice for race specific, expansion specific and many more options.

is a great site if you have a few toons you want to put on your signature, see Shifti's signature block for example. Plus it allows you to go back and edit your signatures per toon allowing you to set a password to prevent someone else making changes.
